Life can change in an instant.
That was true for Chucho, a remarkable young man from Juventino Rosas who came to Texas seeking a better future for himself and his family. Like many from Juventino, Chucho grew up working in the fields with his father, learning that hard work and honesty are key to achieving one’s dreams.
Unfortunately, due to the negligence of his employers, Chucho fell from the roof of a construction site where he worked as a roofer. The impact was severe, leaving him in a coma in a military hospital, unable to be visited by his family and loved ones.
As soon as Chucho’s family reached out to us, we knew we had to act swiftly to help them.
